I was just catching up on the gossip and when I read the post at 18:20:35 by Paul8N there were no follow-ups until I read his post. Bg did a follo-up at 18:54:41 and it don't appear unless you open Paul8N post. As late as 19:15:00 no view of the follow-up. Maybe I'm just tired or my glasses are dirty. Good night?

I think the delay you are seeing is a result of the settings on your browser. Explorer will not automatically refresh with the latest version of the webpage unless you go to the page and hit the reload button. So what is happening is you are looking at an old copy of the webpage... when you look at the post which has not been cached in your browser you see the new responses.
You can adjust your browser to update everytime it opens a page by going to the top menu .. Tools.. Internet options.. temporary files... Settings... and select update every visit to the page.
I hope this helps ya out
Bill

Hi Bg, there must be some delay for the view. Your response was not on my screen until I read my own post as a test and there you were. Maybe I got some slow electrons east bound.

Your reply popped right up. You might have some crowded bandwidth from your area. At certain times of the day here on the east coast, I notice that the refresh time increases. There is a main fiberoptic cable that runs from here to Richmond that gets busy around 5-7 PM.

Hm-m-m-m-m. I just noticed that there are only three pages of gossip now and when I sat down here there were 4 pages. Is the master at work?

Don't know. I don't know how she keeps it all up and running as well as she does. I really did like the old format better, where you could access a whole bunch of pages without going to the archives. But, I guess this keeps the maintenance down. About time to send another voluntary subscription payment...
