As your sheep station is not too far from my llama land in Enumclaw, do you have a favorite machine shop in the area you would recommend? I've got my 8N engine completely disassembled now, and I'm looking to have someone clean, turn, and polish some of them thar parts and partially reassemble, you know, the "usual" stuff.

Thanks.

Rob

Rob..... ....If I had machine shop work to do, locally, I'd take my stuff to "Cope Bros" on Pacific Ave in Parkland. They're a real machine shop that also does NASCAR competition stuff. Local NASCAR driver Derric Cope (nephew) did well on the Grand Nationals in the south but the commute was a killer. While they specialize in Ford V-8's, a friend just had them rebuild an Allis-Chalmers that had broke its crank. He said they did such a ballance job, he can't tell the engine is running by the vibration anymore. (and you wonder why the crank broke?) I have "no idea" what their price line is, most NASCAR places have a premium. I really think locating a good machine shop is done the old fashioned way by inspection and interview and asking for references. I'd suspect a real "clue" would be some questions about replacing the sleeves in the N-Block and if they had ever done N-Tractor work before..... ...Dell

Thanks for the input. I'll put Cope on my call list.
