Great looking tractor btw, did you use any chemicals before your pressure wash, (Gunk, or strippers)? And your application of the paint, was it spray or brush? Thanks in advance. Rob

I started to clean the castings by hand with a wire wheel and that was taking forever. That was why I used the pressure washer. I used some purple cleaner and sprayed it on the parts and let it set a while. Then I washed it off, 85% of the paint came off with the washer then I used a wire brush to get the spots I mised. I sanded the hood by hand to bare metal. The parts I unbolted I cleaned up on a wire wheel on the bench grinder to bare metal. Any parts that could be cleaned in my washer tank I did that first to get grease off. I sprayed the Tractor and it took about 35-40 Cans way more then I thought it would. I did give it several coats and primed everthing good too. I don't like strippers it is hard on my nose and hands. So I use the armstrong method but that is hard on the arms and hands too. There is no easy way to clean them up. Mark H.
