A while back, I went to check out a 9N that was for sale. I finished test driving it, and just before shutting it down, I broke major wind. Luckily(read: unfortunately) the tractor was quite loud, so the owner, who was standing about 15 feet away at the time, didn't hear my blast. (I can be quite loud). I dismounted from the tractor, at which point the owner sauntered over, and stuck his nose in the air, and sniffed heartily. He then looked puzzled, and proceeded to look around the tractor, as if expecting to find something out of place that could've caused the noxious vapors. He did this about 3 times- once putting his nose quite close to the seat. By this time, I was roaring with laughter. I could no longer conceal it, and the laughter caused me to emit more blasts! The owner did not find this amusing however, and just looked at me with a sour look, and didn't say anything. How he could refrain from even cracking a grin, I'll never know! I didn't buy the tractor. Didn't like the brakes on oppossite sides, and it needed a radiator and was hard to start. I couldn't salvage my respectability, and just left, laughing to myself as I drove away. Has this guy no sense of humor, or what? What would you have done? (If you were me, or if someone farted on your tractor?)

Better to fart and bear the shame, than not fart and bear the pain.
Hey, it gave you an excuse not to make an offer.

Now, this story was a gas to read. Thanks for the early morning laugh. I am cracking up. And, I thought, that this kind of stuff happened only to me.

Poor guy...he needs to 'lighten up' but then again, his tractor seat would have exploded right there on the spot.

Now I know why those "pan" seats have holes all over- Ventilation!

What would I have done? Well, I usually take my dog everywhere I go- which makes for a handy scapegoat. Plus, I'm quite impudent! (My old dog used to get the Hershey Squirts often, so I didn't feel bad blaming her.....but my current dog is quite fastidious, so I try not to embarrass her!)

Now if you want to hear some REAL fart stories, email me.
