Got a phone call from the Organic Certification Inspector wanted to stop by Friday 28th, this was Tuesday 25th. Thought I would tidy up the place as we had been fencing and the grass was long. Started with the yard, had smoke comming from underneath the Lawnboy, the muffler had a big hole in it and the grass was burning, kept mowing and the LB overheated and made an expensive rattling sound so I hit the kill switch and it kept running, finally died, checked the compression 27 lbs. Thought I would help the economy so bought a new Tecumseh and finished the lawn. Started on the blueberrie rows Thursday afternoon with the 30 inch self propelled walk behind home built mower in front of a Gilson roto tiller. It ran hot as the grass was too long and thick. The old grass trapped in the cooling fins started smoking, I shut it off and scraped out some grass and fired it up. This time the grass caught on fire with the fan blowing the flames 8 inches out to the side only inches from the gas tank. So I had to take the shroud off and clean out all the old grass, should have done it sooner. By now it was 5.30 pm and the inspector would be there in the morning, not enough time to mow and it was gonna be to much work for this mower anyway. Time to call out the heavy artillery. Put the ORC and the 5 foot mower on Herb 9N set it low to the ground and mowed away. It was so long and so thick had to use first and almost WOT in some places. Herb 9N saved the day. Inspector happy for another year. BC Mike C and Herb 9N and Brutus the converted rototiller that is now a mower and running again.

Where others fail,
The N's prevail.
