The news from Vancouver BC last night showed pictures of a red Massey Ferguson that had been rear ended by a newish Dodge PU. The truck driver said he fell asleep. The tractor broke in the middle at the gear box. The good news is the tractor driver was OK said the 1000lb post pounder on the back of the tractor probably saved his life. Was thinking of the BBQ group while I was mowing with Herb 9N. BC Mike C

Well, working at the old salvage yard, twice I've seen cars and trucks that came in that hit tractors,One was a 1988 Sunbird (Backin 89), it hit a Farmall that could'nt get across the road fast enough, no one was killed, the other was a early 80's Chevy PU that rear ended another, bigger Farmall, both rear wheels broke off the tractor, it took the fire department an hour to find both tires, one rolled almost a 1/2 a mile !!! And once again luckly no one was killed.

later,dave
