Just wondering, what's the largest tire you guys have seen on the back of an N? I have 12-4-28 on my 9 but this 2 I have has 13-6-28. I didn't know if you could actually get any larger because of the fenders. Again just wondering. Rob

I've been running 13.6 X 28 and 4.00 X 19 fronts for 30 years with no problems.

Rob, I've seen 12-4-28 on a lot of N-series tractors. But if you go with to tall of tire on a 2 or 9N even the early 8N's with the front distributors. It will cause ignition problems. It forces oil threw a seal in the back of the distributor. I wouldn't go any bigger than 12-4-28 seens how 10-28 is standard. John

Rob..... ...high clearance modified N's use 38-10's. (special rims). You can putt any size tire/rim that you want BECAUSE you can off-set the rim for wider and thereby clear your shell fenders.

That said, most N-Owners don't bother investing $500 tire/rim combos. They kinda choke on $150 rear tires.

Don't forget there is a dual wheel adaptor for N's.

MY 52 8N has 14.9-24's. Same outside diameter as OEM 10-28. It came that way, $250 tires..... ...Dell
