Update sleeve removal

I got an old puller and cut off the bits that prevented it from going in the 2 5/16 hole, got a piece of 7/16 threaded rod 12 inches long and used it instead of the original bolt. With the puller hooked to the bottom of the sleeve and the rod through a piece of angle iron sitting on a couple of large sockets I tightened the nut on the rod slowly at first and the sleeve politely slid out of the hole. Thanks to all who provided the input. BC Mike C

It is nice when a plan works the first time. Mark H.

I was trying to think this through and got some good input from a couple of the guys. Figured it out last night and did it today. The angle iron was also used on the rear axel operation last year. We had snow here today, quit around 5.30 pm so got to plow in the dark. The diesel is in good shape, so with new sleeves and rings and a valve job it will run for another 20 years. Got the injectors serviced last year. Gonna put in a better pre filter for the fuel and a filter / strainer for the water intake. BC Mike C

I got a engine un-froze today! It was ICE in the Bell Housing made my day when I found it and the engine turned over smooth as silk. I thought it was stuck for sure did not even budge with the ice holding it. Mark H.
