I use (5) rib wagon tires. They work well and do not "dig" up the lawn.

Your tractor will steer a lot better with tri ribs. Personally, I hate when people put old car ot truck tires on the front of a tractor. The 4X19 tri ribs aren't expensive, so just go with those.

If you have 19" rims not much fits except some motorcycle tires or a 4x19" car tire. If you have 16" rims, 5.50X16, 6.00X16 or 6.50X16 will fit and you could use two rib, three rib tractor tires or 5 rib implement tires. I have 6.50X16 6 ply implement tires on my '51 8N. It was set up with a Wagner loader. My '52 mowing 8N has the original three rib tires.
