Generator wire size #10. Big wire eh....

See a lot about big, hairy chested battery cables but here's some word on the size of the other wires.
Picked up some wire in the hardware store automotive section and the package listed recommended size for coil, generator, etc.
I'm bet my charging system works better...and easier on the hardware too.

The wire for the coil only gets about 3 amps at full load, but the genny waire could get up to 20 depending on model... I think i wired mine with 10 gauge.. doesn't hurt to over do it a bit.. though as you point out.. under-doing it can cause the magic smoke to escape..
