Hey Rob. There is a couple more things about posting a pic that are good to know. I hope you are concerned about the size of the pic. Some posted pics are so large a guy has to scroll right and left to see it all and read the post and replys. You can avoid that if you edit your pic before you park it on a website. If you do this you will be able to post 5-10 times as many pics in the same storage space which is limited on the internet.
Open your pic in a photo editor. I believe the Microsoft editor is fine but I did use another package. Your pic will most likely be 640 x 480 in size. That is a big part of the screen, too big to see all at once on this board, at least for a lot of us. I 'resized' the pic from the camera to 50%. The percent is important because it doesn't stretch out the pic weird and the 50% made it a great size for posting on this board. It's like 320 x 240 pixels but the 50% is all I needed to do.
Then I set the density to 96, I think that is dots/inch, woteva. That's the best display you get on a computer screen on the internet anyway so I understand it doesn't help to have a higher density. Finally you 'save as' a .jpg file. That's a standard file type for use posting on the internet and email. Other file types are HUGE and not good online. The file size is GREAT! Only 8kb, some of them are like 17kb. Can't beat that. Now I can put 5-10 pics in my photo album for everyone of those 80-90kb pics I have been putting in there. Pics look the same to me, like they told me it would.
You do all of that before you upload to your storage space website. BTW, MSN will give you storage space for pics, files, and a homepage in their 'community' area. It's free and you get 3Meg of space. You can leave your pics in that site ready to link at anytime and people can go over there and just look see what you have. Or you can make them private, woteva.

If you can't find a place to host the pics, you can post them in the apropriate spot on this forum.. look over on the left side.. has places for tractors, implimints, and 'pieces'.
Otherwise, follow the instructions as already given.

First find a place to house your picture on the net. Some ISP's provide free space to their customers to store pics, a web site, etc.

After your pic is on the net, copy and paste the URL (Uniform Resource Locator) or address of the pic to the "Optional Image URL" field listed on the "Post a Followup" page.
