What a fabulous day! Spent about an hour mowing the lawn with the '52 8N and Woods 6 foot mower. Then, worked with son and 2 grandsons for about another hour on a 1971 Ford/Jacobson lawn tractor. Ate lunch and then worked on Nellie Belle ('51 8N) from about 1:00 until about 7:00 pm. We ate dinner together, pizza, from our favorite place for the past 30+ years. Then we built a fire in the old 28" tractor rim fire pit, lit a couple bottle rockets and sipped a couple brews and talked with wives and kids (grandkids). Now that is a full satisfying day for me. Now I'm here, reminicing (bragging?). How was your day?

Hot, dang hot, had to invoke the plus 30 clause. Neighbour and I invented it last year. If it is over thirty degrees C and your over 50 and you ain't aclimatized yet, then we quit work. So the farm boss and I went shopping, got some bondo for the truck, a waterfall for the bosses pond, and a bunch of other stuff. But I did mow the rows between the blueberries, and clear the ditch getting ready to put drain rock in, and install a new metal gate, and water a couple of rows of berries, so it was a good day on the farm. But hot, dang hot. BC Mike C

Of course you know 30 degrees here is F and that's a little cold. I don't do well in the cold or at +30 C. It's gettin' so that at 70 degrees F I still have a sweat shirt on. May have to think about moving yet. Naw! Suffer. grin
