300hr tune up w/comp test

The Ford Op Manual says do a tune up twice a year if you use the tractor all year or once if you lay it up over the winter. They seem to figure 600 hours in a year so that's 300hrs/tune up. That's around every three years for me, maybe a little less.
Book says do a comp test with the tune up and if the comp is down check the valves and rings. So that seems to be the way to figure if you need to adjust the valves. The compression test every 300 hours. I don't figure you will need to adjust the valves every time. Starting place anyway.
I'm betting valves need adjusting every 600 to 1200 hours. In my case that's every 5-10 years. If it turns out I need to do it every 5 years I might decide to put adjustable tappets in there, dunno.
