Hi All, Any body out there do a rebuild on a leveler box, or am I wasting time thinking about it?

It's easy. You can buy the shaft, gear, and bearing individually and replace only what you need. Getting the rivet out of the gear without buggering the gear up too badly is the only tricky part. Also, if the shaft is bent, you have to saw it off to get it out of the housing. I replaced the rivet with a roll pin -- I will probably scare up a proper rivet "someday".

I don't think that think'n 'bout keeping your 9N as original as possible, is a waste of time.


Although I never rebuilt the levelerb box on my 9N, you might try to figger out what is wrong with the one you have.

Just a thought. Hope it helps.
