I just spent 2 hours trying to get the bolt that holds the blade off of my finish mower so that I can replace the blade that I turned into a pretzel. I tried heating it.....a lot
I tried my impact wrench.
I tried the hammer and leverage, while I had a buddy hold it.
I tried every kind of liquid wrench and wd-40 and mmo in my arsenal.
The stupid bolt won't budge. And the blade can't come off without removing the bolt. I am outta ideas, and I am about ready to take the whole shaft off and take it to a garage and pay someone with a "heavy duty" impact wrench to go to town on it. But I am sure I am not the first person with this problem, so do any of you know of a method that is succesful in this department? I appreciate any suggestions or comments! Thanks. ----Rob

Buy a spray can of "P B Blaster" and spray it on liberally. Come back in two hours with the correct socket and a persuader(pipe) for leverage. It will turn right out without too much effort. I have tried them all; there is nothing close to P B Blaster!

Those bolts can be tough-just be sure what ever you do with it don't get under it in case your hydraulics fail. I have always been able to get the bolts off with a stillson wrench and a 3-4 foot pipe. I lock the blade down with a blade holder and start talking to the little rascal.
The pipe does two things(1) keeps your knuckles out of the skin scraper zones (2) increases your leverage. Good Luck LW

If you have access room, a side angle grinder works good for cutting off bolts.

Most Finish Mower blade attaching bolts are left hand threads. Did You try turning it clockwise? If still no go, an impact wrench is the best answer.
