I finialy got the $150 n out of the bushes
and on the hill that I live on. It is parked
among my other treasures {some people would call it junk}. I don't know if it can be saved,
if the moter is not busted I will try. It will be quite a while before I can do
anything to it, so what can I do about the rust.
How do I stop it so it does not get worse.

Thanks for any help. Will send pictures
when I learn how.

I have a friend who stuffs laundry dryer sheets in his camper to keep mice from chewing up the electrics when he is not using it. Maybe a tip?

You could just bring her to my house in Colorado. Things don't rust much here with the dry humidity. Grin ;-)

besides covering it up nicely w/good tarp, try Gempler's on line (www.gemplers.com). they sell a rust converting paint that has worked pretty well on our sheds and such.

To keep metal outside from rusting I pour old oil or Transmission fluid(which is better) and coat the metal when you do that it blocks out air(air can't penetrate oil) therefor it can't rust because of lack of oxygen. Makes it oily, but when you get to working on it in the spring or whatever you can clean it off. I have heard diesel fuel or kerosene(which is very simalar) also works to keep away rust.
