I was changin the water pump and shuttin up the radiator drain plug to fill the system back up and the whole stop-cock assembly broke off! What a day!!!

Can this be re-attached? Could a shop do this?? what about JB Weld or something??

The threaded part that the drain cock screws into is sweat soldered into the lower tank. Unless you are familiar with this type of repair any radiator shop can fix it for you.

Without actually seeing it, it is hard to tell what broke. Bit it break flush with the radiator? Was the part brass? or plastic? ( is it an oem radiator?).

Though I have fixed some water valves with jb-weld.. they are in non-critical spots... ( lawn sprinkler )... I would be more hesitant to do this with a radiator fitting... I would think you would either want another drain, or at least have it fixed corectly.. i.e. .. soldered.. etc.
