Im in south West VA, Blacksburg to be exact. Although my 8N is just over the border in WV. It has been in our family for about 35 years. I learned to drive on it before I ever had a car.

I currently live in the hustle and bustle of Lynchburg, but my 8N is out in sleepy town of Farmville, where I soon will be living.

Flint Hill, 12 miles south of Front Royal, is where my "farm" is. Residence is still in Annandale, a Wash., D.C. suburb.

Still hanging on here in the Good Old Northern Neck! Ain't like it was back in the good old days, but what is?? Map is something my father had to guide New York folks to the farm. We raised Aberdeen Angus beef cattle. Kinda Racist these days, hehehe! Nearest town is 7 miles away. Montross Va. All the farming infastructure is fading away! Nothing going on here except much construction of Yuppie second homes! And the roads have changed! We now have the dreaded 911 here, which is a bad thing! I prefer the anonymity of life in the country! Change Is Bad!! I don't see why everybody should know everybody's business! But, what can one person do?? Move away?? Never find a place as good as this one was back in the good old days!

Hey y'all. I live in the Allegheny Mountains in Bath County along the WVA border near Hot Springs. I use my '52 8N to mow about 10 acres of grass every few weeks. But being a "snowbird" I leave the cold mountains for about 6 months of relatively mild weather here in central Florida (near SouNdguy). But we will be back in May in time to mow some more acreage.
