I know you folks will be able to give me some good advise on this one. My buddy has a 93 Honda Prelude with some clutch problems. He can't seem to get it into gear in the mornings. For some reason, the clutch isn't disengaging, but once he finally gets it going it is fine, and shifts normally. I am thinking that the slave cylinder is kaput, but he can't tell me if it does have a hydraulic clutch or not.Do any of you folks know if Honda put a hydraulic clutch in the Prelude back in 93? By the way, this is the Honda with the Si motor, and not the V-tec. So, before I take a look at this thing for him, I was hoping that you guys might have some advise on this situation. If I look at it and find the clutch is shot, there is no way I am gonna try to take the tranny outta a front wheel drive car, that is what his mechanic is for. I'd rather spend the time on my 8N!!!!!Thanks for the help again!!!---Rob

You can follow the clutch pedal linkages to the tranny easy enough to determine what you got-if it leads to a reservoir on the firewall it's hydraulically actuated...if it leads to an adjustable cable at the tranny...well there you are-try adjusting it-
Front wheel drive clutches are not too bad-did one on an '85 VW Golf a few years ago. You can pick the tranny up w/one hand!
I would'nt want to try that on a '68 Toronado however--

I never saw any Toro with a clutch.
