Can anyone give me any info about bolt on steel wheels? I guess they bolt onto the outside of the rubber tires so when you get stuck in the mud the tires will dig down until the steel takes hold and then i guess its time to hang on.I talked with a guy that has a set and I can't seem to get any information about them. I am curious about how rare they might be and if anyone has any pictures of them. Thank you

I know a guy that has a set.
He wants $100 each and another $40 for each center disc.

Go to the Tractor Photos on left and look type in (1945 2N before Jason Grooms) There is a picture of my Spuds, spades, or skeleton wheels, what ever you prefer to call them. I used them to get my tractor home with them as the original rims were shot from calcium. Some people see it and think it is a steel wheeled tractor but let me tell you that if you run only these rims in wet areas you will sink to the belly! I had these on my 1944 2N by them self about 15 years ago, not a good thing to do. Thanks Jason Grooms

Thanks Jag, I don't own a ford tractor, but I ran across an add in the local paper for these wheels. If I would sell them how much should I get for them? The person selling them said they were in a barn and that they are about 95%. He is asking $150. My field is full of green and red tractors, I know that the skeleton wheels for a JD run about $700-$800 a pair, but I don't know how much the Ford wheels go for. I want to thank you and Bob for your response, I looked all over for info or a picture of the wheels and came up empty, so once again, Thank You-Rob

Rob, I have seen several sets on e-bay ($100-$200)but most people will not ship so it seems that location would make a difference in price. Let a set go at auction this summer because I have a set ,they went under $200.00 Thanks Jasom Grooms

Rob,if these are the ones that bolt on the out side of wheel (rubber) and look like BIG PADDLES and if price is right dont hesitate to load on your pick-up
