Is there any chance you could make the site bring any post that has been answered lately on to the active first page with new posts? I belong to another site (www.boss302.com, message board section) and they have this feature. I'm sure Randy and the guys would give you suggestions how to do if the thought is of use. Really makes keeping up with active threads much easier because of volume of posts on this site, a post gets kicked back several pages and becomes mixed with inactive threads creating a headache in keeping up with favorites. Thanks for any consideration, Barry

Some sites have a better setup than here. One has unread by you posts displaced when you go there with the option to show all posts. Another sends you an email for the trend not just if somebody personally replys to you. Last time they tried to upgrade here it was messed up for a month before they went back to the old way.

Don't change nuttin' regarding thread precedence.

I like it just the way it is now. I would not like to see older still active threads "push down" new threads. Most threads die on their own after a day or so any way. If a thread has caught my interest I will follow it for a while on my own. If it changes position in the list it becomes more difficult to find.

Now the one thing I would like to have changed is the ability to expand the thread of a post found in the archives.

Sorry Barry
I agree with Steve.
Who want to read threw a bunch of old post over and over.
There was a splinter group from this board that went off and did just that. After a couple of weeks I didn't come back mainly because I didn't like that setup. Carl

I agree with Steve(OR); not that we're putting this to a vote or anything. The threads all die a natural death and we know roughly where to look for them should we care to follow them.

I think that the way that new threads are not brought up to the top is a good feature. I operate my own forums, and one thing that promotes fights and brusied egos and topic "drift" is the way that threads will not die; eventually someone is going to take offence if a thread gets long enough or change the subject. Those stupid long threads will just not die, just go and look at any forum that supports the "bring to top" feature and look at the longest threads; chances are that they aren't even talking about the original subject any more. The way that this board is set up, threads slip off onto other pages and die out, making it hard for the topic to drift and making it hard for the users to keep fighting. It keeps the forum on topic. The disadvantage is that some threads that could keep going are killed off. Bryan

I've seen other forums that do it as well. Not sure if this one is set up for it.

If you aren't already.. make sure you check the email notification box, and you'll be notified when a reply comes in.

It is probably a feature that is designed with that particular billboard software. Each seems to be a little different I am finding.
