This should clear things up! Save the picture and print it out for future reference. Also, it obviously would not apply if you ever planned to do a 12V conversion.

How about we give credit where it's due? That diagram is the creation of Tyler Neff who used to be an active participant on this board until he was banned. The reasons for his being banned won't be ennumerated here nor will I offer an opinion either way. I just think he should get credit if you're going to use his diagram.

Here's his website....a really nice one if you have a 9N (or 2N).

Hey, sorry about that. Tyler is a great guy and was a valuable contributor here. He did an excellent job of creating that diagram, i just linked to it. I was not trying to take credit for the picture, just linking to it like a lot of people do to the smiths site. Both Tyler and Jason Grooms have been inspirational to me throughout my 2N restoration process.

Sorry I forgot to cite my sources! Enjoy guys!
