A fella up the street is selling a Front end Loader for an 8N. The unit has a trip bucket and a lot of rust. This guy wants 400 dollars for it...is that a fair price for a FEL in central Virgina? My other question is; do any of the front end loaders for the 8N have hydraulic buckets (i.e. power up and down on the bucket)? I am thinking about an FEL, but I was considering adding a Jackson Power Steering Unit to the old gal, but figured by the time I do all that, I could have bought a bigger tractor with a loader....BUT I LOVE MY N!!! Opinions?---Rob

JMHO....short version..even in the high priced land of N. central Illinois, its to high I've got a Wagner WM3 on 'my toy'. It has power up, grav down. Full up/down power on the bucket. Its rusty, but nothing to be concerned about. Rust on the lift arms is another story. Is he gonna give you the stinger pump, shaft? If you add a ram to the bucket, you might need a new control valve. I've come to find some hydr. parts aint cheap. HTH.....don t. .....

i HAVE A FEL ON MY 8n and it has what you want but I don`t remember the make its u p in the garage right now but they do make them. Power up power down and power dump. Quite heavy but it does work and is real handy. Not on the n right now because I`m in the middle of a restore. Got it running last Tues. but can`t work on it for awhile as I had eye surgery Wed. and am limited on what I can do. Haven`t worn glasses since . Its a new world out there. I can see for a change without glasses. Enoughof that. You might want power steering as the loader adds a lot of weight on the front.- Mr Bill
