Hey souNdguy, did you ever get a new tractor and mower. If so, where are the pictures? Hope every thing worked out for you.

Ya otta let me test that thing down by my lake real soon. I'd get it real dirty/muddy and then you could wash it again. (VBG) I got grass growing down there that is making my 850 work real hard. That is one good lookin' unit.

What a great looking tractor. Around here 5000's are almost legendary but you're in a whole different league with the 7610. Enjoy it.

Here's the mower.

Desptie being a howse.. it is a nice piece of work.. real heavy parts.. all the hardware.. nice manual.. built in slip clutch on the drive shaft.. and the two side gearboxes have a rubber coupling bad to allow for some very minute flexing in the side to side driveline.

A good machine for the dollar.

I did.. but it ended up not being the ford 5000 like I had wanted. To make a long story short.. the wife more or less said they if we were spending 'large' money on a large tractor... then it was the ONLY large tractor I was getting.. so I had better be sure it would do everything i needed..

While I still think the ford 5000 would have been superb.. and saved me a few grand, I finally actually went down to the NH dealership and looked at a 2002 7610S that came in on trade. Low hours.. a few months of warranty left, and with the trade of my NH 1920 the price was just a couple grand higher than the 5000.. so I 'caved in' and got the 7610S.

I also got the howse 10' 3pt mower I had been looking at... Just too good of a price to pass up.

I'll try to add some links

Ok.. pic of the tractor.. and yes.. it isn't just an illusion.. The tractor is that much bigger than the garage door. I can't even pull the tractor into the barn in the back either...

Congratulations Sounder, that is sure one serious Tractor. You know, it looks even better than the photo that is in the Trader Mag. Have you already dressed it up? Looks like you polished the mower too! Impressive!

Yep.. I'm already into the 'upgrading' phase. And am going to add a fender mounted radio this weekend if I have time.

How much woopie is under the stack? Looks like maybe 80 hp? Whereas your 5000 would have been 60?

So how'd you talk the wife into letting you get a new toy? Promise to wash dishes for a year? tee hee..... ..... ..... ....LOL

Or not come in the house with muddy boots
How about not washing engine parts in the sink
Or curing sealant in the oven
Keeps getting better. More LOL.

More like a hair over 90hp..and the ford 5000 was 63? or so.

I wanted the 5000.. but she actually bumped up the 'range' to the big boys... I actually hadn't been considering anything quite that big.. mainly due to the cost... but it just worked out pretty decently.. course.. I keep saying it's mine.. when in reality the BANK owns it for a few years.. !

Well.. guilty there... I've been caught wasing the grill of my tractor in the sink, and baking some parts in the oven a few times... a few too many times..
