Lots of people here have moved their N around with an improvised gas can while their hood is of Like anyhting in life.. you can try to do it safe.. or you can not try.. and do it unsafely. a fuel line attatched to the netal line on the carb, pulling from a small fuel source on the opposite side of the tractor isn't too much of a finagle. The metal line is the one that is still close to the manifold.. and if a hose clamp won't seal the rubber line to the metal line.. you've got more than fuel problems anyway... Just owning one of these old tractors is edgine a hair closer towards the risk line. Tractors bythemselves.. even new ones seem to be hazardous looking at the farm death / accident numbers every year. Older tractors are even 'worse' with a lack of rops, and other safety features.. more pinch points, less spinning shaft shielding.. including belts and fans. I'm sure an osha guy would pass out at the though of the pulley and long belt on the belly mower of my IH cub... and it doesn't even have a safety interlocked start switch either... According to most 'states' contact with waste petroleum products is a health no-no too, and the noise DB at the operators platform on many of these old machines does not meet todays standards... Something in this world IS going to kill me. I'm going to try to be as safe as possible, and try to enjoy the ride... I also look at a famous quote by ? Ben Franklin?? Something about those that trade freedom for security end up with neither... Gives the idea of a completly robot driven tractor out inthe field mowing while you are sitting safely behind a blast screen in a subteranian bunker... I think I'll take the oily loud tractor any day... Soundguy
