Does anyone know where I could get a Sherman Combination Step Up and Step Down Plate that fits under the sterring wheel nut. This is for a 1950 8N. Thanks in advance. Bill

Most of the larger internet parts places have them. I bought one and also was disappointed. I didn't check the spelling but I still have my faded original. It was red, not black like the new ones.

On mine, the word "gears" appears should appear three times on the right hand side of the plate in the section that describes the three different gear ranges. The first and third occurence of the word actually says "clears" instead. Check yours out if you think of it and see if it"s the same way.

If you"re looking for a perfect reproduction for a 100 point restoration, don"t bother buying one of those repro plates. When I received mine, I was disappointed to find that the script differs slightly from the original. I could have lived with that, but the big kicker was that there were TWO misprints on it! I mentioned it to the individual I bought it off of and he told me that every one he had was like that.
