Poor Ole Girl. This poor ole girl I saw a few days ago sitting beside a county road here in North Central Texas. Finally stopped today with camera and got a good look. looks pretty rough, has vice grips on the choke rod on the dash. Tires are all up though. The fuel bowl is leaking, ( not shut the gas off? ) I does have the tool box still on it left side. First glance to me looks like 1940 or so. It does have the starter push button in the top of transmission by the shift lever.

Hope she finds a good home, I durn sure don't need it though.

Mine looked a site worse than this one when I bought it, at least this one is reasonably complete. The paint is rough but it appears the sheet metal is straight. Its dirty but would clean up nice.

If the price was right I would buy this tractor, if it were in my neighborhood.

I looked at a 9N/2N the other day, worse condition than this one. Didnt here it run but given the external condition I have to believe it needed internal work too. Called the number on the sign and he wanted $2500. I told him i thought it was worth more like $1000 or so. He hung up on me!

Oh well. Last time I went by that N was still sitting there.

She is not a poor tractor, she is a WORKING tractor..The ones that i feel sorry for are the ones at the tractor shows that are painted green/yellow and are just sitting there for the small kids to look at..

My wife asked me if i was going to any shows this year, and i said been there done that..I would rather stop along side of the road and watch an N working the field!!

He'll sell it in no time especially if it comes with vice-grips.

It's got the I-beam radius rods, so at least that part of it is pre-1944. I've seen some posts from guys in Texas; what town is it in? Maybe one of those folks live close enough to drive by & take a look.

That tractor is located on FM 917, out side of Mansfield Texas. Between Mansfield and little town called Lillian, and then that road goes on over West to highway I 35W. Latitute and Longtitude N 32 dg 31 min W 97 dg 08 min. I think that should be about right.

Wow! My initial reaction was that I had just seen that tractor last Saturday...in Michigan. Then, a quick review shows it to be 9N/2N vintage. The one I saw was an 8N Funk 6 cylinder painted about the same shades of red and blue and just about as rough. It did run.
