Sounds like the clutch isn't releasing. Bearing whine or gear whine. Probably bearing.
I'm working on a clutch this morning. New clutch, printing still on the face, but it does not release and all the clevis adjustment was used up. Guess what! The fingers (levers) were all set to different heights. Or more likely, the fingers were not adjusted at all. Seems the clutch must release at an angle so that would explain why it never fully releases. That would explain this problem. Did you adjust your fingers? To what, may I ask? I believe it's two-inches off the flywheel. I can't find anything on it in the FO-4. If you didn't do anything with the finger adjustment then you gotta wonder if that has something to do with your problem.
I was posting to an automechanic about this clutch and fingers and he was not happy at all with the set-up; or lack of set-up. Said stuff like "I generally am impressed by the way this tractor is designed and built but this CLUTCH IS CRAP."
