ok guys, a friend of mine who grew up on a 8n in the cotton fields just told me they had a trator jack, which attached to the 3 point and would then lift the entire tractor off the ground, all 4 wheels, to change the wheel widths , now as tractors dont have a power down, how did they do this, anybody ever see one or have a pic of one, just looking at my jubilee, i cant figure out how this thing worked, thanks ericlb

A few things to mention..... .

1. Only use on a substantial (concrete) floor!
2. If you have "leaky" hydraulics you will need to "block up" the cross member between the lift arms to prevent lowering of the tractor.
3. It is not necessary to always use the front lift loop. If you are only needing to lift the rear wheels the loop is not used.
4. In "lifting" the tractor, it is actually rocked forward several inches up onto the front loop and rear axle stand.....don't panic!!! It will stop!!
5. Beware of the reduced (highly narrowed) center of gravity...for what goes up is just as likely to want to come back down!

I have one! Did a website on it, on GeoCities. Check it out, if you want! If it is still there! Measured the thing 7 ways from Sunday, so somebody could build one if they have the proper materials. It really works, seems to defy the laws of physics, but levitates the N right up there. Very useful thing for changing tyres, etc. Enjoy!!
