Just want to say this list and the archives are great! Based on a previous post I made and then searching some in the archives I read that you can replace the pressure relief valve without pulling the hydraulic pump. I didn't have to cut a wrench down as was suggested however. First thing I did was remove the PTO shaft (I was replacing it anyway) and then pulled the right and left access covers and on the right side used a long screw driver to lever the Hydraulic Lift Fork towards the rear of the tractor. That allowed clearance for a standard 11/16" wrench to access the relief valve from the left side. Had the new one installed in no time.

Replaced the fluid with the 90 weight mineral oil type (had been using the 134 type) and started it up. The lift literally raced skyward! It used to be I'd have to give it a hand to get it to go up.

Next project is to replace the front engine pulley with a new one so I can install my front end loader.

Thanks again!

Brad,
Thanks for the tip on changing the valve. I thought my Uncle gave me a generator wrench, but it"s nowhere to be found.
