Was cutting grass today down the tree lined driveway. Started gathering lots of leaves. I thought, cool! I can mulch these leaves and cut grass! My wife will think I all that. Well the leaves Started getting bigger and bigger. I'm thinking my wife will be so impressed. Then I started smelling burning leaves. Looked down and that big pile of leaves were smoldering. Seems they were piling up around the muffler and exhaust pipe. I was able to get the pile broke up and gradualy got them taking care of. Just a word of warning. My wife still thinks I'm special in my own way. Rob

You are fortunate. Tractors on fire ain't a good thing (seen it once and that was enough!). But this brings up another question. My 9N had a modification that ran the exhaust through a U pipe, glass pack muffler and then straight up when I bought it. This whole modification was done around 1960 I'm guessing. I haven't been able to find a replacement and I could sure use it.

Does anybody know of anyone offering a "muffler up" package that I can buy?
