I hang out a lot here so I thought maybe someone could help. I have an old 1979 Honda 110 3-wheeler. The idle jet in the carb is a no. 35 and it is just pressed in- easy to do. When I ordered a carb kit from Honda it comes with a screw in jet for the later models. I think mine is reamed out a bit and runs to rich. Do any of you know where I could get the older style press in idle jet number 35? All the high speed jets are screw in and I was able to get a new one of those. Thank you. B. Jones

Thanks for the replies. I've put a kit in the carb. I think it was the slide needle and the piece it goes through. I've put the clip in the top hole. It seems to run good at an idle and it runs good on the top end. It seems to run a bit rich just above the idle position. At least I'm close to having it run good. The spark plug always looks black when I take it out. I've thought about trying to lower the float level. It's not adjustable, but thought I might try something.

The needle and jet for the main fuel meter’N system is most likely worn out. They usualy have a adjustment were the needle fits into the slide by removing a e-clip and adjust’N the needle to fit up in to the throat of the carb and close off the main jet set tube until you come off idle. Its worth a try. I worked on a sack a hockey (Suzuki) last night and my problem is reverse of yours its to lean (new carb to) Ask the dealer iff’N he can get ya a needle and jet set for the main fuel meter’N system he should know what yer talk’N bout’ they run 12 to 20 bucks. On my SAH’ I replaced the carb and come to find out it has a fuel pump and the pump was bad $250.00 wasted away and then a $80.00 fuel pump. What was wrong with gravity flow all they needed was to raise the fuel tank a few inches, their will be no more SAH’s in my fleet enny more, Enny one needs a good 250 4x4 Its fer sale at a deal

There should be no reason to replace the idle jet as long as it is open. The idle mixture is adjustable with the idle mixture screw.

The high speed mixture is adjustable by raising or lowering the clip on the jet needle.

High speed mixture is also affected by the float/fuel height.

Intermediate is adjusted by moving the clip on the needle. High speed is a screw in jet. Slow jet shouldn't need replaced ever, just cleaned. Idle mixture is set by adjuster screw, opposite side to throttle stop screw, if I remember right.
