Stopped by my local TSC on the way back from my property to pick up a woodruff key I demolished off of my brake pedal shaft, and decided to look and see if they had some GL-1 hydraulic oil for my 8N. They carry a blend that specifically states it is for older Ford tractors, and they are usually sold out - so I stock it when I can. To my surprise, the label now says Ford Tractor All Mineral SAE 90w Transmission Fluid. Happy Days! As hard as it is to find the stuff, I just wanted to let ya'll know.

I just purchased a 5 gallon bucket of 90WT GL-1 fluid from NAPA and it was $29.30. I live in the Texas Panhandle. I tried GEBO's in Amarillo and they did not carry the GL-1. Don't know if that was too costly or not?

I have a 2n ford with an oil leak at the exit of the rt. side 3 point connection . Can anybody tell me if that is a gasketed surface & perhaps the gasket is leaking & is there a bearing & seal in the case where the shaft exits?
As you have guessed I am not an expert on tractors but I would really wecome your help. Thanks Bob

So far I've been lucky, and all 3 tsc stores near my house keep it in stock year round.. usually goes for about 27 bucks for a 5 gallon pail here in florida.

How much is it? I paid 49.99 at the Ford NH dealer I thought that was way high.

Iv had bad luck with the local TSC and NAPA dealers in my area, they are out of stock, give me the wrong parts, most of the time they dont know what Im talking about. The ( 20 miles away) local farm supply folks that sell new and used tractors ( not a NH Ford dealer) have in stock what I need, new manifold, water pump, rear hub, ballist resistor, rebuild kit for hydrolics, coils, tune up kits, plugs, muffler, rear draw bar, tires ect. I save my self a lot of trouble and just drive the extra few miles .
