I have a neighbor who owns (and still uses) serial number 9N254. It probably came off the assembly line the same day (maybe the same hour) as yours. His also has the aluminum hood. He refuses to even discuss selling it. I've heard that a complete aluminum hood alone can sell for well over $1,000. Combine that with an original early s/n 9N in running condition and I think you may have some money there! Here's what I'd do if it were mine and I wanted to sell it: Take some good pictures. An overcast day with a good camera is sometimes better than a bright sunny day....fewer shadows. Take the pictures of all parts of the tractor, from all angles, overall views and close ups. Then put those pics along with an accurate description of the tractor on an ebay auction. Start the bidding at about $1000 and set a ridiculous reserve (say $15,000 or maybe even more). Now sit back and watch that for a week to see where the bidding stops. Now you know about what the public at large will pay for that tractor. If the highest bid is enough to satisfy you, send him a "second chance offer" which is a way to tell an unsuccessful bidder "hey, if you still want it at that price, I'll sell it to you". That will cost you about $40 to list it, plus a final value fee (% of total selling amount) if you decide to sell it to a bidder. The final value fee is not charged if the item does not sell. After that, you could post the picture on the photo ads here with a price you know is reasonable based on your "market research".
