Click the link and scroll down a bit. There are a couple of VERY high-crop tractors. Be sure your computer"s sound is turned on.

P.S. Anybody know how Palmer Fossum is doing?

I thought I reconised that tractor and checked back thru the adds and it is the one I thought it is. He built it about 5 year ago and it is as nice as it looks. The owner is a retired body shop owner and former sherif and a Ford colector. The tractor is located about 15 mile from me

I believe that's called a cotton/cane conversion. They did not come from the factory that way, but were converted later either by the owner or possibly the dealer. I've read that they were more common in the south than anywhere else. I've never seen one either, but I've seen a pic of an 8N done like that in Palmer Fossum's collection.

When it comes to specialty N's, the one I want to find is a vineyard tractor. Those are the ones that had the axles shortened so the overall width is about 4'. One of those with a 48" belly mower would be just the trick for when my plastic riding mower cashes in! Someone here had one last spring for $2500 and I should have bought it...but I snoozed.

I hope the seller really likes that tractor, because at that price he's going to own it for a LONG TIME!
