Happy new year y'all. I have been working Frances to death with the record snowfall that we received. Just a note to newbies, be patient. these tractors are worth their weight when they are working correct. I have calcium filled tires and noticed one is starting to show on the low side. Is there an afordable hand pump that I can put new calcium in with? I have the old tires and one still has a good deal of juice left. I hate to think I would have to take the tire off and drive 10 miles one way. It's not flat, but it's definatly getting low. Thanks in advance. Rob Johnson

Hey Rob-
You might want to consider draining the CaCl because that stuff is nasty and is probably eating away your rims from the inside out hence the "leaking". There is a newer, safer, substance made from beet juice called Rim Guard to use as a substitute. Google rim guard for their web site. I have no affiliation with them other than I use their product -have had it in my rears tires for five years with NO PROBLEMS. your local AG Tire dealer would carry it. HTH

To make life easy go to Sears or Wal-Mart and buy one of those 12 volt emergency tire pumps, plug it in to 12 volts put it on the valve and pump away.

I think you just need to stop your tractor with the valve stem close to the top and fill it with air. I think it is recomended to have 14 lbs of pressure in them.

Has the solution leaked out? sounds like it just needs air?

Wow! you learn something new every day. I asumed,(careful), that they were full of Calcium. I never had to do anything to the tires. I didn't realize that there would be air as well as calcium in the tires. I'll check and try to fill with air. Thanks, Rob Johnson
