There are quite a few of those here in Mi. They used to use them in the vegetable fields around Bay City and Inlay City for planting and cultivating. Should be fun.

Actually, the guy I got it from converts them to diesel via an isuzu engine.. this is one he's had around since 92.

What is that Sounder? I am gonna guess that it is a Farmall. Is it a dedicated mower? What year? I'd love to have a set-up like that!

It's a 49 allis chalmers G

about 30,xxx were made. It has a rea engine.. contenental.. n62 ( 62 ci )

This one had the optional factory belt pulley, and hydro pump.. and oem hyd cylinder. The mower is an old beat up woods. It appears to work though needs a belt, and needs a bracket mounted to the axle as the belt actually straddles the axle. ( I have the bracket ).

Right now I'm searching for sheet metal for it. Hood, rear nose panel.. and fenders..

It's still 6v.. charges good, and carries good oil pressure.

I'll probably relegate it to light pasture mowing.. like my IH cub.

hi soundguy, nice g model, i would be interested in hearing your view on how this machine performes, mowing, im going to be more or less forced to get something with a belly mower, but it needs to be a real tractor,[ i keep destroying rubberband drive lawn mowers] and the old growth orchard is kind of risky trying to turn around in with the ford, as the brush hog swings oposit to the tractor in a turn,i was thinking of a cub, or a A or B farmall, i forgot about these, ericlb

My cub is a 66 model.. and mows ok.. but not heavy stuff. I imagine one of the newer 70's models.. or even a lowbow would be ideal.
