Spraying can be a big job for all of us. This is a nice 65gal sprayer sized for my N that easily reaches out beyond 20 feet with the basic $11 wand. I needed that reach to spray cattails taking a pond. The 6-roller pump is rated at 22gpm at maybe 300psi and is available for other uses besides the sprayer. I also have the carry all available for other uses so there is a lot of utility included in this outfit. Of course you can operate the wand on the fly from the seat to spray the ditch along the lane. The N comfortable handles the outfit with excellent maneuverability and spraying that took me all day or more is done in an hour or two without breaking a sweat.
A nice part was that I was able to build it in stages with a minimal outlay half of what a much smaller capacity prefab outfit would cost. The tank is plumbed with a ball valve and strainer not shown in these pictures.
The sprayer worked fine and at full capacity from the beginning when I towed the tank in my 4 x 8 utility trailer. I added the nice, clean pump hanging kit and carry all after some time and now have around $450 in the set-up. That"s a terrific savings over the price of any prefab I"ve run across. I believe you can spend well over twice as much and not have the capacity.

They are real handy, thats for sure..Heres a pic of the 125 gallon trailer mount I built..works great,I put one of those bronze spray heads on the back of mine, covers about 30 ft. at a time for pasture spraying, then the wand for cattle or spot spraying..

Looks good. I spent a lot of time and effort with mickey mouse sprayers. I got the job done but not well and I used a lot of chemical. It is good to take a real serious approach to spraying and get it done right. I get a lot more done with less chemical and that is a welcome surprise.
I"ve got a good pasture and I think I can avoid broadcast spraying but I"ve been looking at those bronze spray heads and boom set ups. We will see.

I/ve got some bamboo growing along the side of a large creek were I live. I want to get rid of it, but I'm not sure what to spray it with that won't kill the fish. What do you use?

I don"t have any bamboo and I don"t know what to use or when. I"m sure you need to know both to control bamboo. My experience says to contact your county extension agent and visit the local COOP. Pay attention to what they tell you and you will be headed in the right direction. The county agent should be able to tell you what the book and studies say is effective and the COOP will be well schooled in the chemicals. You understand both, learn how the weather figures in, get an effective way to apply the treatment, and with a couple-few years experience you should have an effective control program in place. Common wisdow on the subject of cattails around here is mostly or entirely crap so that explains the infestations and spread.
After 4 or 5 years that"s where I"m at with cattails anyway. It hasn"t been easy. At one point I was out on the ice with a chain saw cutting back the old growth so I could get spray on the new growth come spring. But, my pond is wide open now and looks great.
