Throttle friction

I have a 39 9N and the throttle lever
does not stay where set as the carb/gov
spring is fairly strong.
I remember reading that there is a friction disk.
But I cannot see where it goes.
I only see snap ball connectors and rods over
to the gov.
Any suggestions?
George

The 9N 9827 spring (governor compensating)-3.7" free length-.44" O.D. is often missing when the governor is jerking the hand throttle around. If you don"t have one, get one and that problem just might go away. It"s the spring on the right.

Picture looks small in the preview and I have no idea why. Hope you get the drift anyway.

The throttle friction disk is on the later NAA tractors.

The friction disc is only used on the lift control lever. The throttle lever relies on a slight notch on the bottom of the handle and nice grooves in the quadrant itself. I had the same problem and had to weld the handle back up where it had worn down smooth and then filed it back round and with a slight point in that area. No problems now!
