My hood and doglegs have seen better days. Kinda looks like someone entered my N in a demolition derby. Consequently, the fan seems to be beating on the shroud somewhere. I messed around with it for an hour today, and couldn't find where it was hitting. If I push the filler neck forward, it fixes the problem, but the minute I let go it sounds like the 4th of July. So for my temporary fix, I have wedged a piece of wood between the filler neck and the hood. Ugly, but functional. Anybody got any ideas? I know this is probably a stupid question, but I really appreciate ya'lls help-----Rob

Rob..... ...yeah, its yer engine mounted front axle bracket that hold the radiator up. The bracket is probably "bent" and you probably will find that your kingpin is worn sloppy too. You might gitter semi-fixxed by using NEW RUBBER shims between the bottom of the radiator and the engine bracket. Iff'n the wooden wedge works for you, works for me..... ....Dell

Loosen up the upper rad hose and push the rad forward some and make sure the hose slips off a little. That will push the rad forward and probably fix your problem.
