Has anyone on this board ever had your 8n, 9n, or 2n on a dyno to see how much power it had.

Jonesie..... ...believe it or not, Ford Tractor Co is the reason the Univ Neb Ag Dept tested tractor engines with certified horsepower ratings. Tractor mfgrs eventually found out UNeb hp was better believed than all the advertizing could LIE-up.

Seems there was this flim-flam man in Milwalkee that sold a very influential Nebraska Senator one of his "Ford Tractors" and it crapped out on the drive out from town to the Senators farm. This angered the Senator, and he gotta LAW passed that essentually said "You wannna sell a tractor in NEBRASKA, ya gottta have it "tested" by UNeb."

The flim-flam man had a "partner/mechanic" named Ford and used his name for his company. He was hoping on cashing in on the reputation of Ford's best selling Model "T" and selling out to Henry Ford so Ford could have a "Ford Tractor". This lawyer scam pi$$ Henry so much, that he started and named his tractor company "FORDSON" with his son Edsel. Fordson tractor put General Motors Sampson tractor outta business; and almost did International and JohnDeere..... ...Dell, semi-historian
