Greg,
What Dell and Ken said.
Don't be daunted by it. I put it off for a couple of years and several gallons of pricey 134 gear oil. Finally I got sick of it leaking all over the floor. Then I read a post here about how having loose pins will wallow out the the hole they fit in.
So I bit the bullet and tackled the job.
It was surprisingly easy - only took a couple of hours. It's a bit of a grunt so have the right jacks and blocking.
I didn't have to buy new pins. I cleaned the pins and holes with paint thinner to get all the oil off of them and siliconed them in. Now they don't leak a drop.
Jerry

Thanks for posting this picture.... shortly I will be going in to replace the pinion gear and differential ( yup, I now that I am splittiung the tractor and I have my manuals ), it is nice to have a visual reminder of what things look like prior to the operation. I will be tightening boths studs while I am in there.

Greg..... ...gonnna assume that yer refering to the 3-point lower link pin. It is held on INSIDE yer rearaxle trumpet by a cotterkeyed castelated nut torqued to 150ft/lbs. Unless ya gottta 6yo kid that can stick his skinny arm thru yer removed PTO shaft hole and operate blindfolded, yer gonnna haffta byte the bullett and an remove yer rearaxle trumpet.

We recommend removing the LEFT rearaxle trumpet because you can reach thru and tighen the RIGHT after sliding yer diffy out. (two pins with one trumpet) Tip: wipe yer trumpet gasket with HOT-WATER to makeitt fitt. Tighten yer trumpet studnuts to 50ft/lbs. Ain't no bigg deal to R&R, consult yer I&T FO-4 repair manual, $22 (cheap)..... ....respectfully, Dell
