What is a fair price for a functional front mount blade for a 2N/8N? This one has all cables, pullies, framework, etc. It is not bent up or too rusty, blade is probably 6' by 18" tall. Thanks for your opinions.

alot depends on where you live. here in eastern PA there is NO market for such a thing. i had a complete arps unit, couldn't sell it here locally. i finally advertised it in N-news letter and sold it to a fella from NC for 300.00, had i known how bad he wanted it i probably could have squeezed another 100.00 from him.

Mine is very functional, and the plow is in great shape. The tubing has been welded several times, and support plates have been added. There is no rust, in fact it has a fairly good paint job. I'd probably ask $500 for mine, and a good part of the value is in the blade. In my neck of the woods you don't come see these front plows very often, which is odd since Maine is snow country. That may effect price.

I have an Arps snowplow with the angle iron framework. It works great. I paid $300 for it and then had to make the cables and a way to attach the cables to the lift arms for use..original attachment for cables missing.
I know of a bulldozer blade setup same mfr. but later model avail for $500. Set up in good shape. Several others I have see are in the $500 range..seems to be a fair price.
Good luck
