Well decided to tear into the old gal this eveing and this what I found. I appears someone must have attempted to pull the lift cylinder housing without disconnecting the control valve form the linkage first. Found the spring and broken rod in the bottom on the drain plug. So I justy tore it on down because there was also about two inches of water in the bottom and the control valve was stuck in the pump housing.

I'm not sure what it's called officially. My uncle called it rooster comb, it's part of the three point center link assembly. It has a V shaped bracket that hooks into which ever notch you select and the chains that go down to the lower bars. I think to control lowest point when the hydraulics are lowered. I personally have never had the opportunity to use it since the Hyd. system was down when I got the tractor from him.

What"s the lever on your left brake pedal ?

Something for a person with limited use of their legs ?

Also what it the ratchet looking thing on the floor next to your right brake pedal ?

Just curious .

Got the left hand brake lever on my 2N too. It's the Sherman built lever for hand operation of the left brake. Really assists anyone when the left foot is fethering the clutch and you badly need some left brake.

I took another look at the pic and realized that was not your right brake pedal on the floor.

What I should have asked is what is the ratchet looking thing on the floor behind the tractor.
