I need to move several round hay bales. Does the 2N have enough lift? I don't want to buy a hay spear if there is no way this jewel will lift it?

Thanks,
Topcat

I wouldn't do it. Tractor is too light in the front without a counter weight up front. If they are big bales, probably wouldn't lift it any way. Like said below, I would think of it as abuse. If someone has one of those movers you could borrow, then that would even with a truck hooked to it.

If it is a one time thing you can make a skid with scrap lumber and pull them where you want them. As far as lift capacity you can move really heavy stuff by chaining lift in up position after you got object lifted.Hang a bunch of weight on front of tractor for balance.(This definitely falls under heading of abusing equipment)

How big/heavy are the bales? Lift capacity of an N is about 7-800 lbs..After that you have steer by brakes only 'cause the front end is off the ground..
