My step dad just bought a 1952 8n. He then bought a new tach and cable and noticed there is no place to connect the tach cable. Someone must have changed governors. Where is a good place to get a used governor with the tach drive on it? I know they sell new ones but he would like to buy a good used one if possible. Thanks, B. Jones

Most guv shafts are drilled fer the cable drive, you kin buy just the part that drives the cable. You would need to remove the gutts to check if the end of the shaft toward the rear izz hollow. Un bolt the guv and only one screw holds the gutts in, nuttin will fall out if it does then the guv needs fix’in enny ways. Then all you will need izz the housing and drive tang. If yours will not accept the drive then a shaft and housing and other small parts to fix it up like new.
