I bought this kit many moons ago and I am just now getting around to removing the homemade 12v conversion and installing this one.

If I recall, the mounting instructions were pretty awful anyway.

Can anyone give some insight on where these brackets go? I know which one is the tensioning bracket.

Here's as far as I have gotten.

I forgot I bought the kit at Mike's Tractors, and they were kind enough to fax a replacement set of instructions.

I'll take a picture after I put it together. Part of the problem is I didn't realize the bent bracket mounted to the head bolts!

I didn't like the idea of using the head bolts because I didn't want to retorque them all to make sure of even torque on all the bolts. So I made my own top bracket and replaced the top front cover bolt (the one behind the coil) with a longer one to attach to my bracket.

N — joy.
