Just tore down badly smoking 2N #1&2 cyl where down to 55# comp., oil rings where hardly sticking out of ring grooves, end gap .075 . What would cause such extreme wear on these cylinders, also found std. main brgs.shimed on on bottom half, rod brgs where .002 , .004 clearence 0n pistons, is this engine rebuildable ? There was no carbon in ring grooves almost appeared as if engine was recently rebuilt I just aquired this tractor ab,t a month ago Thank you for any advice. BOB

Yes your engine is rebuildable. You should take your crankshaft to a machineshop and have it measured and turned as required then order oversized bearings. also order new sleeves, rings and pistons which you can order from this site. Just go through everything while you have the moter apart and it will be like a new one when you are finished...Mike
