I know this is way off topic but you guys are really good with information. How much torque is required on the bolt that holds the vibration dampener on the end of the crankshaft. 3.0 vulcan engine (2 valve) 2002 model Ford Taurus. Should I use loctite on the threads? ( The big center bolt that is?)

Check with a car mechanic. But, i just tighten things until i get them tight. If it is a large bolt, i don't think you will break it off with a large ratchet (1/2 inch drive)! If i'm using an air ratchet, i let it tighten the bolt until it stops turning, then shut off the tool! This problem is something you will have to learn by trial and error. Especially if you don't have the specs for how tight to make it.
