Farmyard finds – Bombardier tracks

As promised, here is the next item I found in the Longmont Colorado farmyard last Monday. I spent about 2 hours with the owner looking all around his place and there were plenty of “goodies” in his yard. These are Bombardier tracks. All of the hardware was there as far as I could tell. The bogy wheels even looked like they might hold air. The rubber belts had some cracks, but not all the way through. The rust you can see on all of the metal parts is only surface rust. The climate here is pretty dry and severe rusting is rare. I’m not sure, but I think these could be bought pretty reasonable.

They usually have a 9N, 8N, or a Ferguson besides other larger tractors. Sometimes you will see a plow or disc. I have not gone for a long time but I need a few things so I thought I might go.

It will be held near the intersection of I-25 and Hwy 14 in Fort Collins, 9 A.M. Saturday. I just happened to see it on their website today. I live near Wellington so it is only about 8 miles from my house.

• Centennial open consignment auction

Centennial Auction is having their spring consignment auction this saturday. I think I may go by there tomorrow to see if they have any goodies for the Ford.
